Our story

A family legacy, stitched together.

We End In A is a multigenerational family textile-art collective. Our work brings together quilting, fiber arts and craftsmanship. Pamela A, our Mama, Dana A and Barbara A share a love of creating by hand. Across the United States, we stay connected through our art. Each piece expresses an individual artistic voice within a shared family tradition.

We call our items Den Enda, Swedish for “one and only.” Their individuality is part of their beauty. Our collections range from quilts and throws to smaller pieces for everyday life. We occasionally feature a guest artist. Above all, we aim to create works that enrich homes, collections and lives for generations to come.

Mama

Growing up and listening to the comforting hum of mom’s sewing machine as I fell asleep. Waking to a new creation, a garment, a doll and many other things. Something I wanted for my boys, for them to know that there is no end to their imaginations and what they can do or create. Our family is full of creative, smart and caring people all with different talents. I hope with my creations to share a little bit of who I am.

Welcome to We End in A! I’m DanA, and my lifelong passion for handcraft and sewing stems from a deep appreciation for my family’s uniqueness, creativity and industrious spirit.
Today, I’m delighted to see our website come to life, honoring our family’s extraordinary talents and shared devotion. Together, we preserve our creative legacy for future generations while sharing the beauty, inspiration and love woven into all we create with you and the world.

Before Covid, I had not sewn since my children were young, and I made them gear for whitewater rafting. When Covid arrived, my oldest one bought me a nice Bernina sewing machine. I made masks and gowns for the pediatric clinic. When we could leave our houses, several sisters got together, bought 5 Cricut machines and started making felt dolls. The idea for We End In A was hatched. Sitting in my studio with DanA and deciding on a name and business plan is a wonderful memory for me. I hope you enjoy the result of our work.
